Week 4 - It's time to explore!

Hi 7 Greeners,

What will this week bring I hear you ask?  Great question.

Maths:
We will further explore the world of VOLUME.  Remember that volume is measuring the space inside a 3 dimensional shape. Look over your notes, what is the formula for:

Volume of a Prism =

or

Volume of a cube =

2 minutes of study a night will guarantee great results on your test (which is in week 6 sometime).

English:
Historical narrative writing will continue.  Mrs C and I will be further extending your knowledge on how to write amazing narratives with a historical twist.  Your historical twist will be all about ancient Rome.

Grammar:
There will be a Grammar test sometime this week.  Be prepared.  Study hard.  Good luck!

Geography:
We have just completed our geography P.O.V. narrative on ancient Rome.  You have done a splendid job and I am really looking forward to marking your work.  Remember your word limit must be between 135 - 150 words.

Science:
This week we will begin our Science unit - FORCES.  We will begin the unit by looking at the different types of forces we see in our everyday lives.  We will create a Science Journal in our workbooks and we will also create a Science Journal for our class.  So if you miss any class time you will have the class journal to refer to.

Religious Education:
This week we will continue to look at the funeral customs of Judaism.  Your 10 Commandant Posters are up on our R.E. wall and look fabulous.  Check out the Twitter pic.

History:
Enid the Etruscan: you will be working on the comprehension questions that Ms C will provide you based on the play you have been learning.  This is developing our knowledge on the early Roman cultures of ancient Rome.  Rome stole the best of all the other cultures they came in contact with.  REMEMBER to keep in mind the things you may need for the "Day at the Museum" costumes.  Refer back to the note that was sent home last week.

Have a fabulous week 7 Green!

Ms C and Mrs C :)
